Hi all,

Took the Chantilly for it's for weekend a few weekends ago and have a small question about the door.

We picked this one up as it is useable without the awning so we went for a weekend out just me and the two little ones and it was great, I think I put it up right!

Quick question though, what do you do with the door? It doesn't see to attach to the trailer at the bottom just zips up so how do you keep a huge draft out where it doesn't touch the floor?

In the end I put the heater on and put a towel across it like a draft excluder but surely it isn't meant to be like that?

I have seen others that have a hard door at the bottom and the canvas sits over that but I don't have that, I don't think there is anything missing but I'm suprised there is no velcro or anything along the bottom of the door.

With the awning up there wouldn't be a problem but without, well it was certainly drafty!

Cheers

Tim

We had the same issue. Never got round to modifying it before we changed units.

It's not only drafts that get in. On one occasion we returned to our pitch in complete darkness late one night and were a bit startled as we opened the zip as a cat shot out.

Could you add some velcro, maybe? Self-adhesive to the trailer and sew on to the door? I can't remember the arrangement.

I think the easier would be velcro like you say, just wondered if it was supposed to have something as it's obviously pretty old and has lasted this long without anybody doing it....

Love the cat thing by the way, I reckon I'd have been off quicker than the cat could get out!

I got into the car at work to drive home one very dark night. I reached down onto the passenger side floor and something furry moved. It was a cat. I can only guess it got in when I opened the door and being so dark I didn't see it.
