I have to agree the majority of TT's are a pain to put up mainly due to the awning and the zillion poles they come with. There are a few other options though that don't have that hassle.

We have a cabanon Neptune that only has 4 poles and you can get the mercury and Neptune with very similar setups with 3 poles I think.

These provide great accommodation and living space along with the comfort of raised beds.

The design is also bullet proof in strong winds as we have discovered first hand !


Ultimately I can't compare it to a FC but just giving you another option. Another advantage is the side storage kit allowing you to wheel round the back of a house or put it in the garage for storage.

Forgot to mention that in addition to the much lighter Issabella acrylic canvas, the new models also have the Isaballe Carbon IXL awning frame, what an improvement both in weight and assembly. Sitting here on my own some in Fairlight Wood having set the FC up for one, shows just how easy an FC can be.

(the rest of the family are in Crete...someone had to camp with the dog!)
