I'm looking for a solution to something I fear may be impossible!
Until last year we have had some great holidays in our trailer tent but then decided with the arrival of our 3rd child to sell up and extend our house. The side effect of this was that our garage was made shorter and now measures 3.35m long.
Now we are missing camping and want another trailer tent, the problem is they are all to long for the garage and the garage is too narrow for one to go diagonally.
The only idea I have is to take the pull bar off the A frame and knock about 27cm off the length which would allow the trailer to fit. I am a bit worried about it though as I've no experience of doing it and if it is easy to do or not, and more importantly as the trailer is braked is it safe?!?
I would not do any thing to the A FRAME, why not just leave the u it outside,we do and have done for the last few years with no detriment to the unit, we also have an Olympe and have done the same with our previous unit a Chantillygl
or up on side and diagonally will take up less space

Thanks for the replies. Yes the draw bar will unbolt from the A frame but because the trailer is braked I think this will make it more difficult to put back on? Really I suppose that's the issue I'm seeking help on.
We have thought about storing outside but have always been worried about the canvas etc getting damp over the winter. Maybe this is not something that happens? If storing outside isn't a problem with damp then I suppose it opens up all sorts of options incl. folding campers.
U bolting the A frame is always an option but as you say it messes with the brake linkages, but more importantly the bolts will be tightened to a torque setting, so unless you know this I would not in bolt.
Our unit has been out side since we bought it new and has not yet suffered any effects, we noticed that when we bought it it was also stored out side
So providing that you pack away fully dry you should be ok
