TT's usually have canvas all the way round and therefore have to be pegged down all the way round, so tend to need to be sited on a grass pitch.
FC's have exactly the same footprint as a caravan (except when using underbed canvases) and therefore can be sited on a caravan pitch.
Really the only thing you should have any problems with is that when booking an FC on a site is that you stipulate the length of your FC so that they allocate you a long enough pitch.
