VW Golf plus 1.9, towing an Anssems GT750 trailer. Thinking of up grading the car when the the time comes to a VW Touran 2.0 (140 bhp) A bit more space, same reliability and a bit more oomph, but not too much.

We've towed our Fiesta with a 1.6 petrol auto Hyundai Matrix and a 163ps 2L diesel Galaxy.  We now have a 140ps 2L S Max but haven't towed with yet.  I suspect, like the Galaxy, it will pull the side of a house down.  The Matrix was fine and it even pulled the trailer over the A73 in France which was a big ask (it's the Massif Centrale for those who don't know), but we got across it and down to the med without a hiccup.

we tow our pathfinder with 2.2D titanium x sport Mondeo. It tows perfectly. Im not going to bother fitting a tow bar to our Jag XF 2.2D sportbrake.
