Anyone use a tow bar mounted bike rack on a detachable bar whilst towing? Is there a 2 bike version available?

Yes I have the Witter ZX89 bike rack in the detachable flange type towbar on my Renault Koleos.
Only down side is tailgate won't clear it but you just have to load the car with that in mind.

I'll vote MaxxRaxx to, but beware, if it's a flange type bar, you'll be ok, but if it's a swan neck, it'll cost you another £150 on top of the bike rack.

Hmmm ... my first one was swan neck .... didn't cost me that much.
If you do want to look at MR's ... phone them and discuss ... they are very helpful.

The swan neck version comes with an adaptor that fits over the tow ball unlike the flange one, so you can't tow and carry at the same time. If you then want the adaptor, MR won't sell you the parts directly to fit them yourself, you have to go through an authorised fitter and they charge £160 to do that.

My towbar is a Thule detachable. Is that classed as a swan neck?

It depends. You can get detachable flange and swan neck bars.
