Evening all,

Quick question can I buy a bigger awning for my Conway cruiser or is there some that are comptable if they don't make them bigger?

Thanks Amy :)

I think ours is a 1995 model, so would the later models be compatible with mine

Some of the later models are compatible with yours, up until Conway ceased production, in 2002. Yours is 488cm wide, by 202cm deep. All Cruiser awnings, up until 2002 were exactly the same, so nothing to gain by upgrading. When Pennine took over production, in 2003, the awning depth remained the same, at 202cm deep, but the width increased to 510cm, meaning it was no longer compatible with your model.

When the cruiser ceased production, in 2013, it was a full 600cm wide, but just 210cm deep, so, even at it's largest, it was only 8cm deeper than yours.

Getting other awnings to match is extremely difficult, if not impossible. There are no similarly sized Conway models, and all the similar Pennine ones (like the Sterling and Pullman) are all wider, at 502cm, plus you would have to adapt the zips on any awning that wasn't a direct match.

Overall, not looking promising, I'm afraid.

Sorry to hijack this feed Amy, but Mr Blue Sky. As the font of most things folding I have a 2009 Cruiser with the isabella acrylic material and am thinking of adding an awning annex. From looking on line they measure 250 or 220 would you happen to know which i would need?
Sorry again for the hijack Amy

When you say 'they' measure 250 or 220, are you referring to the awning size, or the annex?

The total depth of the 2009 cruiser awning is 250cm (like all current Conway / Pennine models) so you need an annex to fit that.

Slightly confusingly, the actual annex width would be roughly 220cm, as it slots in where the side panel would normally go, obviously, so we need to be vary careful with what the annex specifies. It may be that it is a 220cm annex, designed to fit a 250cm awning, if that makes sense.

Not sure if that answers the question. lol

Think it is the Annex width that they specify is 220 or 250 so would think i will need a 220 annex to fit mine, fingers crossed lol ;)

Thanks

Let's hope so. Just looking at a picture of the annex on my own annex, and I would say it's about 6 inches (or 15cm either side, which would be sensible. If in doubt though, I'm sure Julie or Nick at Pennine would be able to clarify it for you. They still do the annexes for these (albeit at 400 quid a pop, plus inners).

You've resurrected a 9 year old thread, so may get more response starting a new one.
Anyway, it may, but if not you could get the zip replaced to suit your Cruiser.

No need to start a new thread, as it's still the same subject matter.

If it was me, I would be driving to get the one that matches.
But that's just me.
