Please Help,

          The detatchable cooker unit on the rear of our trailer tent, has two gas rings,my problem is that the left hand burner is burning with a cool yellow flame and not a hot blue flame, I also get the smell of gas because of this,

         Is there a jet or valve i can clean or replace to cure this problem, Im capable of dismanteling and rebuilding the cooker, and yet i do not know the cause of this problem. Have you had this problem, How did you cure it ?........

My portable gas cooker had a problem like this and I took it for a service it turned out it was just the little holes round the side's which were blocked, the same thing happened this winter so my husband just cleaned them with a cocktail stick and it's been great.   you could try this and see how you get on.

                Thanks for the reply, it has helped, because I now remember some one telling me about a gas burner becomming blocked by a collection of cobwebs on the inner part of the burner, whiched blocked the small holes, as you have mentioned.

                 Our trailer tent is in a friends garage at the moment as im altering my own garage to suit this trailer, but I will try cleaning the holes, I bet that will work as there is little else to go wrong with such a basic system....
