The week before Easter 17 March we spent a week on the Caravan and Camping site at Kelvedon Hatch.  It is a very nice and clean site, and the wardens are very friendly and helpful.  It is handy to get into London from this site.

We had a lovely time, the weather was quite mild whilst we were there, which was just as well because first trip out we forgot our sleeping bags.  Couldn't believe we had been so stupid.  Luckily as the weather was so cold and damp before we had gone we had taken a thin quilt and blanket with us.  With the mini oil heater on low overnight we were lovely and warm.

Looking forward to our next trip to Windermere for the May Day week end.  Where is anybody elso going that week end.

Happy Camping

  Hi ya Sue,

We want to try the Kelvedon site, but we've not got around to it yet.

Our first this year will be Kessingland for may day weekend, then home until the end of may, then were off to Barnard Castle, both are caravan and camping club sites, and we have not been to either of them before.....

Remember ! ... whatever the weather, don't forget your sleeping bags, you can laugh about it now,but was it that funny at the time.....

                Have a good season.....  Redtail......

Redtail, the ground at Kessingland is very hard - we found rock pegs worked best. Enjoyed our visit though. hope you have a good time.

We have never been to Kessingland or Barnard Castle.  Our next trip out is next May Day weekend to the Lakes.  The campsite at Windermere then to St Helens campsite at  Wyke near Filey for the end of may holiday.  That is also a very nice site.  We definitely won't forget sleeping bags this time.  I still can't believe we did that.

Hope you enjoy your trip next weekend.

Redtail the ground is very hard, if you have kids you are in for a treat as its right next to the wildlife park, last time i was there you heard the lions rouring etc, lovely site, and close to Lowestoft and Southwold which are worth a visit.
