Hi everybody, picked up our first folding camper last week and of course have been sitting in it over the weekend on the drive, the neighbours must think we have taken leave of our senses!
Before making the commitment to buy I spent many an evening reading most of the posts about folding campers etc. I was most impressed with the knowledge and good humour displayed by everybody so thank you, the advice was exceptional and reassured me that it was a great thing to embark upon.
Just a quick question, do you put the stabilisers down when you have it parked (storing, not actually camping in it) or do you just leave it on the jockey wheel? I do recognise the danger of forgetting you have them down when you are ready to depart!

Nothing to be gained by putting them down except perhaps one more thing for a thief to do when nicking it. I leave our legs up and jockey wheel down. I raise the front with the jockey wheel, so rain runs off the cover at the back.

Nope, just as navver above has said, raise the jockey wheel to let the rain run off, no need to get your legs out.

Jockey wheel wound down to slope camper to provide rain run off. Legs down, hand break off and wheels choked. But thats just me.

Actually it's good to put legs down then . tilt one end , then chock the wheels and release handbrake . This stops the brakes llocking on !

Thanks all for the advice. Leaving the brake off to prevent locking sounds the way to go. I have managed to clear out the accumulated junk in the garage so the trailer has a home away from prying eyes!
