Just been looking for a zip on sun canopy for my Jamet Arizona, or a smaller awning section. I have the large awning which seems overkill for me the mrs and kid. We are always out and about anyway. Just somewhere to perch if it starts to rain and to keep the kitchen dry would be great. If you have any ideas, give me a shout. Much appreciated.
sombody on this site said they put on a sun amp swift porch awning and attached with figure of 8 strips whatever that is ,I'm new to the site so here's hoping this helps you out ,as I'm looking to do the same as you .
Thank you for your reply. I'm wondering how it could work as I am new to this. Have googled figure of 8 strip and can see what you are on about. However unsure as to how to attach to TT. If anyone else has some advice on this please let me know. Don't fancy trying to put the awning up on my tod!!!!
The awning can be reduced in size to make it lighter, probably cost about the same as having a canopy made. TVS can make you a canopy that ties on if you can't match the zip. If the panels on the awning are removable, then it can be used as a deluxe canopy, and would be much lighter.

Hello and thanks for the reply. The panels are not removable unfortunately. Wish they were as it would be good. I will contact TVS today and see what they can do for me. Do I have to send the awning away or would they have all the relevant plans for the TT?
Alternatively I could just man up and put the awning up on my own! Although it is a bit of a mission. Unless I'm missing a method that would be easier.
At the moment I'm zipping the awning on and building the frame inside the awning bit by bit.
Usually, the easiest method is to zip on the awning, and then throw it over the cabin. Then build up the awning frame with the front "on it's knees".and pull over the awning. The pop up the front to full height.
I say easiest, but your tt is huge. From camperlands brochure,it seems the front and one side are removable?
When I had a canopy made by tvs,I left the awning with them, but if you ring them they will let you know I'm sure.

I'm not sue about the awning having removable bits. There is a big side door that unzips but only at each side. The top of the door is part of the awning so that won't come off. But possibly the front door so to speak wil have to have a look next time I've got a few minutes.
It was a bit of a gamble this trailer tent when I bought it, the guy selling it didn't know anything about it as it was his father in laws who had died I think. And I ended up opening it up having a look and looking for mould. Satisfied all was well and there was only a small amount of discolouration to the canvas I parted with £300 which isn't much as I understand where trailer tents are concerned.
So you can imagine my delight when I saw how big it ended up being once put up. Quite a lot of TT for my money.
Only one issue there was a rip on one corner where the thread had come out so I sewed it up with canvas thread and put some seam sealer on it. Fingers crossed it'll work.
