There is a surprising amount of variation in towing capacities within models, and what a 1.2 can tow will vary significantly, based on year of manufacture, manual / automatic, petrol / diesel etc etc. The 1.2 Ibizas vary from 800kg to 1,100kg, depending on exact model.
As you, quite rightly, say, though, this relates to braked trailers only. All folding campers are braked, and all trailer tents over 750kg need to be, as well.
The Ibiza can tow between 540 and 570kg unbraked, which will cover you for all but the very largest trailer tents.
With regard to actual towing experience, can't help with that, I'm afraid.
