the Odysee is bigger, but that means a bigger, heavier trailer, higher beds, it takes two to pitch it, and the kitchen is a killer. However once it's pitched the accommodation is more spacious, the zip in groundsheet is great, the beds are comfortable, and there is an underbed pod for one of the children. Our daughter loved her cave! The storage is under a bed, which is great, it means you don't have to get everything out every pitch.
The Camplet is really light and manoeuvrable, fab quality, and can be pitched solo, although if there's any wind you really do need more than one pair of hands. The kitchen doesn't have to be lifted but consequently is low, and although it does have pumped cold water it doesn't have a waste water outlet. Adding an annex caused us problems, though that's a few years ago. Our annex didn't have mud skirts, and we had problems with water coming under it. Plus you lose more space in the awning for access than we expected, and losing a window means losing light as well. The beds need regular airing, and they aren't as comfortable as the slatted beds in the Odyssee. The storage is on top of one of the beds, so it all has to come out, and it can be difficult to pack, if it's not just so then it won't shut!
They are both easy to pitch, but the Odyssee is a heavier pitch, if that makes sense, everything is just that little bit bigger and heavier, so slightly harder work. In terms of time though it doesn't take longer, none of them are really as quick as the manufacturers would have you believe!

Alison

We didn't have an annex, sorry, but daughter slept in an underbed tent until she was 15, and would still quite happily do so. I can't comment on the curtains either I'm afraid, we had a Jametic which although the virtually identical does have a different colour scheme! Darker in the bedroom pods is definitely a plus though, the ones we have now are darker and I much prefer it.
The Camplet is a lot lighter, it's smaller, and the fibreglass shell is very reassuring if you're storing outdoors. I don't know if the lightweight materials account for all the price difference, but it's certainly some of it. So in terms of the package I much prefer the Camplet, but in terms of the accomodation, I would have to say the Odyssee is more practical for a family, especially in a UK summer!
We switched after a couple of particularly wet trips and one very impressive flood, and it was the zip in ground sheet and underbed tent that swung it. I have to say I didn't anticipate the weight difference between the two, after all they don't appear to be much different, and I always found the Jametic hard work. However we never flooded, it was plenty big enough, very comfortable, took all the UK weather could throw at it, and was very, very practical.
I hated that kitchen with a passion! It's really heavy to move, and always seemed to be a pain to set up, but it's very functional once it's sorted out.
None of them are as quick as they make out. A lot of the time involved is in pegging and setting up generally, and I think the Camplet is quicker, but not massively so. The kitchen is less work, and it doesn't peg all the way around, just little things that reduce the time it takes.
I'd consider going back to a Capmlet for the two of us, but I wouldn't buy another Jametic/Odyssee. Of course I really wish we'd bought a Combi Camp to start with, and what I'd really like is a Holtkamper!!

We have a 2014 Odyssee (see my gallery pic) and from unhitching to fully erected generally takes about an hour, this includes fitting the ground sheet, pegging, fitting guy lines etc. Yes, the kitchen is heavy, but it is more than worth the hassle. Ours has an electric pump tap (cold only) with a drainable sink, 2 burner gas hob with grill and loads of storage.
The beds are really comfy. The roofs of the inner bed tents are a darker material, which is good for the light mornings. The sides of the inner tenets are lighter, which gives a light any airy feeling. There is loads of storage under the main bed which lifts up and is gas assisted. There is more room under the other bed for storage or for an under bed tent. I would recommend getting the sun canopy as well. The lift over bed is gas strut assisted, so the bed is not really heavy unlike older TT's. Our previous TT was a Jamet Lousianne and those beds were unassisted and were really heavy.
One other good thing with the Odyssee and the Olympe as well, is that you can be waterproof within 10 minutes once you have lifted over the 'pram hood'. Similarly you are still waterproof until the last few minutes of packing away too.
If you have any other questions, just ask.
Hope this helps.
Jeff
