After much deliberation if a caravan or FC we have just bought a 2009 Countryman. We intended to look at the NEC but never got that far. This unit in very good condition and makes sense to buy 2nd hand first time round to make sure this is the right buy for us.
So excited and a nice "extra" birthday present for me yesterday.
Now comes all the additional extras needed to fill it.
So........... I apologise in advance for all the probably very annoying questions we may have as we start this new exciting next chapter in our lives.
Congratulations on purchasing such a fab unit! I'm not surprised you're excited. Will you be able to go away soon to sample the goods?
There will be lots of people on here that can offer plenty of help and advice if/when required!
Enjoy!
Rachel
Hi Rachel, afraid not. We have to arrange pick up probably end of October/ beginning of Nov as we are away next week in Turkey for 10 days then it's the NEC so where we are getting it is shut as they are going there. Hopefully once got all our bits together my hubby wants to go for Easter next year. Be exciting all the bits we need though.
Excellent news, and happy birthday. Where did you buy? What were they like in the flesh, the same as photos or any differences? We'll be following you soon and purchasing a pennine at the NEC, it's very exciting to think about being able to go away for weekends camping again.
Shame you won't get away but hey ho-you will have something to look foward to over the winter and have plenty of time to think what extra tit buts you might need!
We used to have a Pennine Pullman a few years ago and have very fond memories of it. Enjoy it!

Hi DrTinkle.... We actually have got it from Pennine themselves as they take very good campers back in I guess when people upgrade to a new one maybe. Go look at their site. They refurb them and service etc but do say they only take in ones on very good Nic. If you go to pennineoutdoorleisure.co uk and you will see the one on there we got.
We decided we wouldn't do new as we wanted to get the feel of them and make sure we made a right decision in model. We will prob go for a new one in a couple of years if we haven't fallen in love with this one and don't want to change.
We bought ours in February and had to wait until the following year to use it for the first time. I so looked forward to the first good weather so we could use it. Made use of the time waiting for our first camp to check out the videos on line to make sure we knew exactly how to erect the unit. Also took advantage of some late dry and warm weather to open it and give a thorough clean. Enjoy your new toy
Well done, you will have loads of fun, we certainly did this year after returning to an FC from a short excursion with a caravan. Towing is a dream and set up with the family a cinch, sleeping under canvas is so much nicer.
We have had folding campers for over 15 years and still get a buzz when we go away, This weekend will be our last trip of the year, It will be to the festival of light at Ashover.
