The Pennine Pullman is one of the longer running models. As far as I can see I have a 1991 model. I would love to re-canvas it, I see Pennine are offering a Cabin and Awning for £1250 for a '96 onwards model, which is a bargain!!
What are the differences between the'91 and '96 models?
I can only find two sets of dimensions, one standard and one for the 535 Pullman.
Anyone any ideas if the canvas would fit. I have emailed them but had no reply yet.

You will struggle to get a reply at the moment, as they will be flat out getting ready for the NEC show, the week after next.

The Pullman is the second longest running Pennine model, running from 1982 to 2009. The only one that has run for longer is the Fiesta, which is still in production.

The mark 1 Pullman was superceded by the Mark 2, which was not significantly different, however, in 1996, the mark 3 was released (known as the Pullman 535, so named, due to its length when set up on site). Although similar inside, the exterior was quite different, with more modern mouldings and, also, a king size bed at the front (which probably partly explains the extra length). The Pullman 535 is 535cm long. The mark one / mark two models, such as yours were only 502cm long. Also, yours will be 205cm, the new ones are 212cm wide. The awnings are different too, unfortunately.

The Pennine offer is a good one. It costs, roughly that much to have just the canvas made at somewhere like TVS, but they tell you to check compatibilty for a reason, unfortunately, and this is why; the earlier models, whilst not massively different, size wise, are different enough for this not to be an ideal option. The 535 is roughly a foot longer which doesn't sound loads, but you would really notice it on yours, as it just wouldn't sit well, I'm afraid.

The 82 is marginally smaller, although not enough to cause a major issue. The biggest issue will be the zip, which is likely to need changing. This isn't a huge job, though, so it should be a viable option, with a little work.

A newer canvas for 96 onwards will not fit a 1991 unit as the 91 unit is smaller (double beds rather than kingsize and double)
