You can see from behind when folded that the beds are suspended above the PVC material so are dry. The roof raises as the beds fold over and cover it all. The walls lift up then the bat wings go in etc so it is well covered.
When folding, the roof stays up right till the end. The walls fold in, dry side down on top of any furniture. The wet PVC folds on the outside of the walls. The beds are covered by the end walls which fold in before the side walls fold. The roof finally comes down and folds on the underside of the beds. So yes everything inside stays dry.
Sometimes the roof can hold water if you are not careful. This can get inside but not until it's all covered by walls etc. It's more likely to get you than the inside of the dandy.
As the PVC doesn't hold any water it tends to all run out the back as you are towing it home.
If left wet, it will be perfectly OK but the PVC windows, the ones in the PVC material as opposed to the one in the door or kitchen wall which are caravan types, can appear milky. This can't be wiped off but always disappears after a couple of hour after you erect it. It leaves no lasting effects.
We had a wet pack up back in July and left it till mid August before opening up. It was all fine except the windows were milky but they cleared in a couple of hours.
The awnings are PVC as well so the same applies.
If there are a few of you, you may want to look at the Destiny which is a 6 berth. Early models were called a dandy 6. These are huge and have loads of room.
