Hi I am making bed skirts for our 2008 Pennine Camper. I have zips that fit the canvas (YKK 10C - OPEN ENDED - thanks to Brian Parks Camping) and brown outdoor material that is not a bad match. I have marked the zips for length and corners so I am ready to cut and make up. But I need to know the height from zip to floor. Our camper is parked on a slope so this measurement is not as accurate as I would like. Can anyone tell me what the skirt measures from zip to bottom not including the mud skirting?

Many thanks
Lin

hi Lin. We're going to need a bit more information than that, as it's a bit like saying; "I want to fit some skirts and spoilers to my Ford car. What length will I need?

Pennine is a make, not a model, and there were numerous models available in 2008, most of them being different heights, so can we start with what it is you actually have please?

If your camper is parked on a slope, then measure each end, add the two heights together and then half it and that will give you the mean height.

Thanks for this. We did do that but I am dithering about starting the project and worried this would not be correct. Hopefully you have given me the confidence to just get on with it!

Hi Lin, allow extra length in your skirts so that they can slope outwards and let any water flow away from the base.
This will also allow you some pegging down wriggle room if the ground is uneven.

Once we got the Porch Awning for our Pathfinder, we rarely used the bed skirts.

I love the awning but think the bed skirts improve the look. Thank you so much for the Pic. and advise re the length. I have bitten the bullet and made a start now we know what to aim for.

Good luck Lin.

Our Pathfinder came with a full awning that we never used.
Put it up once and that was enough!!!!

However we did use the awning skirt and I also fitted and awning skirt "C" channel along the back of the camper and made an extra awning skirt to go along there.
That way, when the bed skirts were on, the whole base of the camper was sealed off from the wind and weather.
This was handy for storing tables and chairs slid under the camper when we were not using them.

Hi Lin
May I kindly ask you for some advice regarding a post on Pennine Pathfinder under bed skirts. I am trying to make my own skirts for my 2007 pathfinder. Could I please ask how you go on with your plan to make your own skirts. I know your original post was back in 2006, but I'm sure it's still relevant today.

I am hoping to pick your brains and to enquire how to obtain Zips etc. Did you do the whole job yourself or did you send the canvas away somewhere. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. My email address is masonanthony009 at gmail.com

I'm afraid Lin E has never been back since this post 3 years ago, so you could be out of luck.

If I was you I would get in contact with TVS they should be able to help.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Yes she has been back quite recently, she just hasn't posted on the forums. So hopefully she'll see your question
