Thanks for all the help. We purchased one today. One other question that springs to mind is I have a 2009 skoda fabia 2 1.9tdi do you think it will be ok towing the countryman?

Yup. It will be absolutely fine. You can check the vehicle's VIN plate / V5 document to be sure, as online figures only have a certain degree of reliability, but the figure for your model is coming up at 1,200kg, and the Countryman only weighs 750kg, fully laden, so well within capacity.
