We are thinking of taking out Folding Camper away over the summer holidays around the UK. We are also popping over to see relatives in Northern Ireland for a few days, but we would not need the FC as we will stay with family. Instead of towing the FC over and paying for all the ferry fees does anyone know or have experience of just storing it up somewhere for 3/4 days and then collecting it again when we get the ferry back? Is this even possible?
I am also wondering if this is possible if it makes sense to sometimes park it somewhere while we visit other relatives for a couple of days throughout the year before continuing our trips without having to tow it everywhere.
Any suggestions welcomed.
Try some of the Sites Offering Caravan Storage listed in Camp Site Search? I imagine there may well be some within a reasonable distance of the ferryport.
Thanks Hacksaw Bob, I will look at that, I was just wondering if anyone had experience of just leaving your FC or caravan for a few days whilst visiting elsewhere. I don't mind where it is parked as it will be locked, obviously nowhere illegal or subject to theft but open to ideas.
How about asking about storage at the last campsite you visit,or even leave it pitched. Ok,not free, but I would love to see the insurance claim.
"We just left it near the docks in Liverpool for a few days and to our surprise........."
