The current handbook states; "85aH to 120Ah" which, I appreciate, doesn't really help.
All of the late models I have looked at are 37cm, wide x 17cm deep x 24cm high, but I couldn't 100% swear the new ones are exactly the same. Pretty likely, though, I would guess.
------------- The one good thing about being wrong is the joy it brings to others..
One thing to note is that the width quoted is for the widest measurement. The battery narrows at the base to enable it to fit snugly into the compartment.
I previously had an Aphaline 88Ah but it didn't have enough 'oomph' (cold cranking power) to work the motor mover most efficiently. The above is better in this respect.
Just jumping on the query here, I too have a 2014 Countryman and am interested in getting a battery. What make of motor mover did you have? And did you have any problems?
We had an Enduro mover fitted by the supplier. It had to fitted behind the wheels because there was nowhere suitable to fit it in front but it was fittedupside-down without drop plates giving very little ground clearance as a result.
I quickly ordered drop plates and refitted the motors myself. The plates had to be bolted to the chassis which meant drilling holes in it - something Alko doesn't like apparently. Anyway, it works well now and we wouldn't be without it. A good investment I would say.
I bought a leisure battery that I was assured fitted conway countryman but it doesn't. Any chance of someone with a newish countryman posting a picture of the inside of the battery box so that I can compare as I am sure mine is different.
It was a platinum 75ah. It's weird as it fitted in the first countryman we had this year but that had to go back due to a fault so we picked another brand new one up and it didn't fit it that one.
What is your main reason for the leisure battery? We want one to power a motor mover but also allow us to go to camp sites that have no electrical hook up and use solar panels to charge it. The battery mentioned earlier EXV90 Enduroline has two terminals so seems a good allrounder for both situations.
Well I bought a EXV90 Enduroline 90Ah Calcium Leisure battery and it fitted my 2014 Countryman perfectly. Many thanks for the advice JuneR101. Also bought the Numax charger for when it's not on the camper and 100 watt solar panels so I can camp off grid.
I've just bought a battery for our 2006 Cruiser, which probably uses the same battery box (looks like this, not my picture or my battery). Our local shop had a deal on 110Ah Numax XV31MF batteries, but by my measurements it was going to be a tight fit on height, whereas the more expensive Banner battery with flush terminals would clearly fit.
As the camper needed a post-winter run test and a check of the electrics, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and dragged it to the shop for a physical check.
The Numax battery just fits, making contact with the ceiling of the battery box but not distorting it. although I had to replace the Conway "quick release" battery clamps with standard screw type that doesn't increase the height further.
