Hi

Although I have been reading the forum for some time (thank you for all the valuable information!) this is my first post.

I have just bought a second hand Trigano Alpha GL. Got it on Sunday and set-up the cabin for the first time time and all seems good. Hoping to have a bit of a dry spot over the weekend (might we wishful thinking) to at least partially put up the front awning. Plan then is for the first test weekend at a local site in Mid May.

I am sure over the coming months I will have many questions that I hope you all will be able to help with, but my first concern is trying to source a storage winter / cover for the unit.

Although I am looking at indoor storage options, fall back plan is that it will sit on my drive all seasons. Not ultra concerned at the moment due to the hard top design, but if it is still on the drive by Autumn I will obviously need some additional protection.

Any thoughts on where I can source a good quality cover? Looking on-line I have found reasonably priced off the shelf items for nearly all types of units, including the similar (but not the same size) combi camp. Nothing for the Alpha though?

I will try and call Black Country Caravans if I get chance as the unit was origianlly supplied from there, but thought I would ask the combined wisdom of the forum!

Thanks in advance for your help

Chris

Hi Chris,

I too have an Alpha GL and tried to find a cover, but have failed. However, I have seen a chap towing his Alpha and he did have a cover that fitted the top, including the metal platform frame. I suspect he had it made bespoke.

It's been a while since you posted this - over a year. Did you find a cover?

Cheers, John

Hi John

To be honest I just used some tarpaulin in the end which seemed to work fine over last winter.

Chris - the dedicated cover looks very smart though and is tempting.

I've grown really fond of the alpha over the last year or so. There are loads of features that I really like and can't wait to get away for our first 2017 trip next week.

We love our Alpha - the convenience of overnighting in 3 minutes and it does have the best bed ever - much better than all the caravans we have owned. We did cheat by adding an Ikea mattress topper to the bed though!
