Can anyone advise me on going about Swapping our caravan for folding camper or would it be best to sell Caravan first?
We have an immaculate 2007 Caravelair Anteres Luxe 390 with fixed bed and hot water/ blown air heating ect, We had the van reupholstered last year and it looks amazing, We recently downsized to a smaller property and are seriously considering getting a folding camper (the grandkids love coming with us). and space is at a premium, Looking around our new area storage fees are astronomical and few and far between but we could store a camper at home. ...... are there any specific online sites that do swaps?
Thanks
Alan
You can try but your looking for a coincidence that someone with what you have wants what you have.
We downsized from a caravan to a dandy, a type of folding camper, when I retired but the wife missed the onboard toilet and shower too much so we have gone back to a caravan.
I doubt many caravan owners would want to swap to a folding camper but I may be wrong. Personally I would sell yoir caravan privately, it may be more hassle but you can get a better price than from a dealer.
Once your caravan is sold then look for a folding camper.
We sold our caravan privately and then bought a 2010 FC privately, keep looking at the ads. The other option is to trade the caravan in with a dealer who specialises in both like Highbridge.
