Hi

We are going to buy a trailer tent and have narrowed it down to either a Sunncamp 400SE or a Conway Clasic Trio.

There is about £1000 difference in price and are not sure which to go for the cheaper Sunncamp and buy all the extras we would like or the Conway

Can anyone help us make our decision, we would appreciate any comments.

Thanks Julie

Hi Julie

A warm welcome to the UKCS, be warned it is great fun and very addictive.

I have had 2 old Conways and found them to be very good.  No experience of Sunncamp range but I would buy another Conway without any worries.  I have found that they are put together well and last very well.

HI there

I had this trouble last year and we opted for the conway trio, we personally thought the canvas was a lot better quality than the suncamp, but i guess its down to personal choice we have had a few times away in it and had no problems all and went for the extra suncanapy on the front with a side wall and its a fair size for all of us which is 2 adult 4 kiddies and a dog hope this helps

Hi Julie,

Welcome to the UKCS!

I think it will boil down to what you like the look of best and how the design suits you.  You might even prefer the colours of one make rather than the other.  No point in sitting in something you hate the colour of!

I had a Conway Camborne TT and was certainly very satisfied with it.  We found the canvas completely waterproof having sat in it for nearly an hour with a horrendous storm overhead and rain like you've never seen before!

Try and make sure you can see both TTs up so you can go in them and get a much better feel for them.

Good luck!

Sandy.

(Jazzycats).

Thanks for your replies, we are going out to buy  a TT this weekend will let you know what we get.

I am sure we will be after alot more advise soon aswell. Although we have done alot of camping we only have basic equipment and now plan to get some electrics so we can have a fridge, maybe a heater, kids want a TV aswell, not sure about that one. The list is endless.

Hi

Have decided to go for sunncamp, kids can have tv then and we can have fridge for wine etc.

Am now looking for sites in the lake district to try out our new tent.
