We went to have a look at campers yesterday The Pathfinders are so fab but wont fit in my garage. We have a Countryman now its really good and we enjoy it, its an older model but works perfectly but now we have seen the new ones they look so much nicer. They also come with heaters hot water and the colours are nice too, what would you have or have you got, the Countryman with lots of storage space or the Fiesta with the toilet compartment.

I wouldn't bother with the toilet compartment. We just have a Porta-Potti in the awning just for night use. If you don't want an awning then I suggest a toilet tent on the outside to the right of the kitchen section where there is a convenient space.

We have a Countryman by the way.

Very much a case of personal preference. They are exactly the same trailer with exactly the same canvas, so anything you add to one means you take from another.

As you know, the obvious trade off is larger kitchen in the Countryman, against the toilet compartment in the Fiesta. The other main trade off is the second fixed double in the Countryman against the extra settee in the Fiesta. Because the Fiesta uses the second bed to make up the second settee, this means that there is more floor space in the centre of the trailer. The Countryman, in contrast has opposing settees in the main trailer area. On the down side, this takes up extra floor space, but, on the plus side, there is more storage under the second settee, there are two permanently made up double beds, and this is a more practical arrangement when 4 people are dining, as both settees are closer together and on the same level. The Fiesta is a little less practical in this regard, as the larger settee is higher than the smaller one, and a little too far back to allow convenient dining.

I think, for most, the Countryman is the preferred option, unless you want the convenience of an on board toilet. This is borne out by my experience on the Pennine stand over the last couple of years. Of the people I have spoken two who have bought campers at the shows, all have gone for the Countryman, rather that the Fiesta. That's just the ones I spoke to, of course. No idea what the overall figures are.

fors and against for both I think at the moment we have 2 teenagers who come but I think in the next year or two it will mainly be just the 2 of us, at the moment probably the Countryman is best with the extra storage etc but in a couple of years I think the Fiesta will offer better comfort thanks for you replies guys keep them coming

Hi
We have a Fiesta. There is only 2 of us plus one dog, and we have never bothered with the awning (which came with the camper when we bought it) as we find the camper big enough for our needs without it.

We had a similar dilemma when we were looking to purchase, and having camped for approx. 20 years without a toilet our initial thoughts were pushing us towards the Countryman.

However after 1 season with the Fiesta we are certainly glad that we went for this option. The toilet has proved to be a godsend, no more traipsing across to toilet blocks in the middle of the night.

The extra floor space in the Fiesta also make the van seem fairly spacious for our needs.

For the two of us we find the storage space absolutely fine, we used the second bed for storing our clothes, and the cupboard near to the door for food. Outside chairs, BBQ etc. go under the beds, behind skirts. There is plenty of room to put these on the floor in the trailer when we are travelling, along with the Aquaroll etc.

Whichever option you go for I am sure you will love the camper

Hi

We also have the Fiesta, it's perfect for us two and the dog.
As mentioned above the toilet and facilities arei a real god send especially on a summer rainy evening, you become self sufficient.

We also stack outside chairs, aquaroll and waste and as much as possible on the floor on pack up day.

Fiesta is the way to go........good luck

Like all things in life it's down to personal choice. We love our Countryman and so does the dog! However we do find the beds a bit on the small side so have taken to having one each. Fido has a choice!
We almost always put up the awning as we tend to stay in one place for at least 5 days. Anyway, we like the shade and shelter it affords and the sense of outdoor living. Quite often we don't even put the sides on. It depends on the weather really. We also put the folding table in the awning and eat there whenever we can.

The toilet thing has never been an issue for us. It goes in the awning for night use only (sides on!)but it can go inside the FC on the floor by the door if needs must.
