Just an update on this,on our first trip away this month we used the Y splitter plugged into the camper, and our existing camping hook up going off that into the awning, then the camper hook up power cord going into the other side of the Y splitter and to the site supply bollard, worked perfectly and no tripping of anything, we had our coolbox going in the awning, heater on low out there, and inside the camper only needed a short blast of warm air on low from our other heater to warm it up early evening, then powered the TV plus our phones on charge for the rest of the evening, no problem at all.
Really happy with our set up and we can use exactly what we planned to on the electric set up we now have.
We also used electrical cooking hobs or the Multicooker in the awning instead of using up expensive gas, just not at the same time as the heater.
I even used my hairdryer on low (never use it on high anyway) in the mornings after the shower, it really is just a matter of common sense not trying to use everything at once, and we made full use of our electric hook up, hardly had the gas cooker on at all.
Thanks again to all who were so helpful,
Jane.
