Our carbon fibre awning for our 2014 Fiesta Q2+2 is a bit of a faff to put up as the poles fall out when you are putting it up - so my great thought for the day was to fit some little spring buttons. The three plastic brackets all have holes so i cant see why I couldn't get hubby to drill holes in the poles and fit the buttons which will then fit into the brackets. Anyone done this? Is this a good idea or will the poles not like being drilled ?
