I’m wondering where would be the best place to purchase a Pennine Countryman? I’ve visited my local supplier and intend to visit Pennine at the Camping show at the NEC in February, so both are options. Any idea who would give me the better offer, are the supplier’s restricted on what they can offer?

My only concern with buying direct from Pennine at the NEC is what would happen if I have any problems with it. Pennine are around 2.5 hours away and up the M6 so wouldn’t be easy or convenient to get to while my local supplier is only around an hour away so not too bad if I had to low it back for whatever reason.

Simple answer is; there is pretty much no difference. Prices are very tight, and little or no flexibility, in terms of offers or discounts, even if you buy direct from Pennine. You may be able to get some bed skirts thrown in, but, otherwise, you aren't going to be getting anything off, either way.

Pennine take a lot of orders at the shows. When I was with them in February, at the NEC, they were taking orders months in advance, so you could have a bit of a wait.

I suspect the dealers are going to be in a similar situation, as they tend to not keep loads in stock, but always worth a word with them, just in case. Whoever you buy from, February, during / after the NEC is the worst possible time to be buying, as Pennine's order book will be rammed. The very best time is September / October, just before the Autumn NEC show, as things are getting quieter, towards the end of the season, but the post October show rush has not, yet, kicked in. I advised someone to do this, last year, as they were planning on waiting for the October 2015 show. They live a similar distance away from Pennine, but went there, and got the first of the 2016 models, and in a really quick timescale. definitely worth considering.

We purchased our countryman direct from pennine at the nec show in February. We live in Worcester and travelled to collect it from the factory in Accrington. I'm glad we did as we got a bit of a tour around showing all the different stages of build. Nick & julie are great and have helped us loads since. Nick spent a good 1.5 hrs showing is how to set it up etc which again was great.

Sounds like you had a good experience Lee and you live even further from Accrington than myself.

How has your Countryman been since you purchased it, have you had any problems with it?

Have you had good support since buying it?

How long is the warranty on it?

Sorry for all the questions.

Hi Lee. Thanks for the offer. I don't think there's a PM feature on this forum is there, which seems like a massive omission for a forum like this?

I don't think it's a good idea to be publicly posting private telephone numbers or email addresses on a public forum.

Ours has been fine. Julie and nick at pennine are fantastic. Ring them for a chat. They don't always answer calls straight away but they are good.
