After getting our best ever TT new just last year we have come to the realisation that a caravan is in our future. My retired parents holiday with us and this years holiday showed that we may need a bit more convenience and comfort for them.
I have just started researching, but it is clear the caravan dealers are not interested in taking our TT as a PX but it seems an expensive item (approx. £5k) to put on the sales sites.
Do you think there are people out there looking to get a great deal on a nearly new tent like this? and when do you sell? now, at the end of the season or after the camping shows in feb when people might look for after seeing new at the shows.
Would love any feedback. Thanks
Hi,
If you have read some of the posts recently you will see all forms of camping gear are flying off the shelves with dealers not needing to offer discounts.Campsite bookings are through the roof, motorhome and caravan sales also.
If TT is referring to trailer tent there are people on here looking for them.
Even if it is not a trailer tent ,lots of potential customers.
I sold my last motorhome the same day I put it up for sale this year.
I personally think you will have no problem selling it at a price you will find acceptable.
Good luck.
You best bet would be an ebay auction with a sensible reserve price. If you would like to get rid now then put it on ebay with a well written description & a full set of good photos. If it don't get up near where you want it then if you can keep it try again next spring.
Agree with Opensauce.
If you have never used E bay before ,just be sensible.
Cash only is best and definitely safest. If you show them at your house I would advise telling them you have brought it from storage to show them.Just in case they decide to come back and take it.
On no account allow them to take it round the block hitched to their car to see how it handles.
Common sense prevails.
Once again,
Good luck.
Regards,
Greg
Also consider facebook as an alternative to e-bay....My kids sell all their stuff on FB and its free! No fees at all. I used to use e-bay but the fees are now a bit silly imho.
You could also do a lot worse than use the free ads on this very site. Put the price your after and stick with it.
Good luck.

Every day is a gift..That's why it's called the present.
We bought our Cabanon Saturn Trailer Tent from E bay nearly 10 years ago when it was only a few months old and the seller was only selling due to work commitment changes but we got a good deal and all parties happy with e bay collection on payment and never looked back, had many happy holidays here and in France - Good luck and give it a go
We sold our TT through here earlier this year and could have sold it many times over. It was also in preloaded and we got loads of enquirers there too. Admittedly it wasn't almost new, but there are lots of people looking for TTs.
