We have a pennine sterling 2003 which has a removable table in the seating area. Every time we use it we notice the screws keep coming out where they are not fixing in properly and getting lose! Terrible design! Anyone else have this problem? What have you done to solve it? Also anyone know where you can get a replacement to fit the space ?

I've had the same problem, coincidentally, with a 2003 Sterling. Fortunately, it only happened once and I was able to move the offending leg half an inch or so towards the end of the table, and it was fine. You can get a replacement table direct from Pennine, if you're really struggling; https://pennineoutdoorleisure.co.uk/table-and-legs

We broke our table. I'm replacing the table top with some 12mm ply. Should be much stronger than the chipboard the original was made from, and should be easier to secure the legs to it as well. Any good timber yard should be able to cut you a piece to fit. (650mm X 1000mm for out '98 Sterling).

David.

Begrudge buying an £85 replacement for it to break again- are you covering the table with a plastic coating David?

Had the same problem with a 2006 Pullman .... drilled a bigger hole and used a larger diameter screw ... worked.

I haven't fully decided how I'm going to finish it yet, but some kind of plastic coating might be nice. My bit of ply was from an off-cut and cost less than £6.
