We bought a conway explorer trailer tent on Sunday it's about 2002. When we got it the bloke demonstrated how to unfold the main body and it's to be fair it's in superb condition.

We came to have a play yesterday and errect it it fully in our garden as a practice run and we appear to be missing poles for the awning.
My husband contacted the person we bought it off and he's addiment all the poles are there. There is the possibility of course that we are erecting it but we also have that feeling we may of been done over.

We are totally new to all this, we bought it as an investment and we used the money I had put by for a caravan holiday in Sept. Needless to say we where gutted last night, but today I'm trying to think positive hence this post...

Can you get replacement poles at a reasonable price??
And if you can is it one size that fits all???

Silly question probably but have you checked they're not inside the storage lockers in the trailer?

I thought that too, kate w! Which poles are missing, presumably you have some of the poles?

Have you checked if some of the poles extend, they might appear to be too short or partly missing if you've missed that, sorry if that is too obvious, but as I can see you're new to this site and it is your first post on here, just thought I'd check, as our Pennine (new to us only a couple of months ago) has the fibreglass awning poles that you extend out to make up the length, and it might not be obvious to someone without experience.

Here's a link to the Conway Owners Club page detailing places that you might get spares from if it turns out that you don't have all the poles:

http://www.conwayowners.org.uk/dealers.htm

Do let us know how you get on, and don't despair, there has to be a solution to this...

Hope this helps,

Jane.

Edit: and try here as well:

I am newish to the forum, but if it is possible to post some pics of the poles you have, laid out, then we might be able to identify what you are missing. If there are any missing, you will probably able to pick some up on flea bay or Camperlands or other internet places.
If there isn't a way to post pics, describe what you have got as one set of awning poles is pretty much like another.
