Hi

We are thinking of investing in one of these but have a question about the height of the bed pods & ease of getting in or out of these especially during the night. Assume you'd need a step but that would hamper kids underneath?

Any other pros & cons would be great to know too. Such as it is really as quick & easy as they show in the set up video?

I'm sat in mine right now. We have a step for each side that even our two year old can get on and off the beds using. My 14 year old does just jump and not use a step! The only down side see from the way the beds open is that it means that the steps take up floor space that you don't have to have in other TT. Plus side of beds is no climbing over each other to get in and out of bed.
Saying that we had 8 adults two babies sat in the awning space and six kids coming in and out.

Our plan would be kids in under bed pods & hubby & I star fishing in our own bedrooms each, so would be concerned re steps & kids getting out of their pods! I, personally, would love to get the side annex to act as a kitchen storage for fridge freezer & cupboard, but hubby thinks it's unnecessary. We mainly camp in the South of France so eating/cooking is outside & the unit we would buy would be without the kitchen so do t have that as storage.

I said to hubby I reckon launching & diving onto beds would make it great fun! Can you tell I love this as a TT but am having to convince OH x

I to am looking at one of these for our first TT. We are a family of 6 with children of 14, 13, 10 & 7. I am also looking at the Cabanon Mercury. I do like the prompt set up of the olympe and the bed system meaning you don't have to climb over your OH to get out of the bed.
I will be going up to the show at the NEC in Feb to see the different models in person but would you say that the awning area is roomy enough for a larger family. I also like the idea of the annex for additional storage.

We're a family of seven. Two adults kids age 16,14,11,9 and two. Oh and i share one bed, eldest girl other double eldest boy has a pop up tent in awning which we throw on one of double during day 11 and 9 year olds have under beds and two year old side annex, we did buy the annex meaning to use it as a loo / dressing room but head Hight isn't great so use the middle section for that now and annex as a bed room. We didn't want the cooker as felt it was a waste of money but have a long table with an table to fridge and table top freezer on and and a storage cupboard for food all along opposite side to annex. All seven of us can sit comfortably in the awning when it's set up like this but did feel smaller than out tent was ( hi gear premier 8)
We arrived on site at 5:30pm on Thursday the tent was up by 6 but another hour or so pegging down and setting up all kitchen stuff, it is really easy to set up and so much is done inside I find a great advantage! Storage while travelling is great too because awning canvas is attached and only seven poles to store so the rest of the trailer is for your bits. The transit cover is generous too so can fit loads under it.
The biggest plus for me the beds are so comfortable and big! Even for tall people.

We are picking a brand new one of these up this week.having this instead of our folding camper going forward. We are having the centre part fitted with the pemanent bed. As their are 5 of us. It means no climbing over people and no putting a bed up and down every day. We also have a quest 6 sid3d screen house with the panels that we will be putting next to where the side annexe can attach which will give us oceans of space. We did this year with our folding camper and it was absolutely brilliant.

Would you say it is quick to set up & put away? Currently have the old style Wolf Lake which takes us ages, plus then setting everything else up!

Also does anyone know the dimensions for the sun canopy & annex please?

We have found it takes us about 1hr to set up but less to take down.

Pros are you don't have to put up a bed every night no crawling over anyone to get out of or into bed. Yes we are enjoying it. I suppose the only downside is you have to peg it out but that really isn't a problem if you are used to it. Other pros are there are no curtains to faff about with. So going forward we loved our folding camper but this really is as close as you get to a folding camper because it is so easy to set up in our opinion.

Hi Linzi,

We just purchased a Olympe after much deliberation. I feel we need the annexe as well but my wife isn't keen. Picking it up on Saturday from Black county camping, Chris who works there is very helpful. We also plan on taking it to the south of France, if you have been some advice on campsites and travel would be very appreciated.
