I've just discovered that I have aluminium corrosion on both side panels of our Conway Countryman and was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea of a cost to replace and/or recommended a reliable repairer (I live about 12 miles from Manchester). I had a look on Pennine's website and they are quoting £1000 per panel, which is just too much for me. Another question is, should repair costs be too steep, would it be a viable Ebay sale for parts or project for someone skilled in this area?
depends on how much is corroding but wouldn't a trip to Halfords bodywork section be worth while and get the mess and isopon p38 and a tin of paint work?
an earlier post on here will give you some ideas of what to do http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=31&TopicID=163443
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
It's hard to tell how much is corroding, but I'm of the mind that once corrosion sets in, ultimately it is game over for the panel (could be wrong though?). If it was repairable, how do I prevent the same from happening again?
