Hello campers.

I've recently joined after finding the forum when looking for help to fit a roof rack to my Mk5 trailer.

Are there many Camplet owners here? I'm trying to get my hands on a few things for mine but other than Camperlands, I can't find anything.

We've got a few trips booked for this year so hopefully we'll come across some more TT and Camplets on our travels, my daughter named ours Deadpool and put a sticker on the tailgate to say so - if you see us, some and say hi.

I have managed to fit up a Thule roof rack to mine, if anyone's interested I've written a how to and materials list to build the parts which I'm happy to share,

Anyway, hopefully there's some other owners on here to talk with.

Mike

Hi ya....

We've got a 5th generation camplet classic.

I'm also in hampshire. Have only used it about three times due to recent health issues but hoping to get much more use out of it this year.

Happy to help with anything. Not many of us about. (or we like to keep it to outselves!)

Hi Mike,Welcome, lots of information and advice on here. Not quite sure what a basic+ or Mk5 equates to (only 3 models when we bought our concorde). It's surprising how many people on here own or have owned a Camplet, but I have only ever seen 1 other on a site.

Hope you enjoy yours.

Steve

For those interested, the camplet basic was an entry level model with a very wide window and door. It wasn't supplied with a kitchen.

The basic+ was the same varient but with a kitchen.

The classic, which we have has two wide windows which can be used as doors or opened up to make an open tent. The classic has the kitchen.

All camplets get updated most years and refered to as generations. The 5th generation was introduced in 2014 i beleive. The main difference here was that the closed trailer had aluminum top bars and skids as standard. The tent fabric was standadised in acrylic rather than cotton. Before the material was cotton standard and acrylic type an option.

More information can be found on the camperlands website, including brouchures and videos.

Hi Mike,

I'd be interested in how you fitted a Thule roof rack to yours, as I bought my daughter a 2015 Classic & she needs extra carrying capacity
