Hi guys. I am camping in an old folding camper next week and am wondering whether to get an oil filled radiator to keep the tent warm at night and during the day. I use a small electric fan heater during the evening but obviously switch it off at night. Any thoughts from your own experiences would be much appreciated!
We use a small oil filled radiator in our tent bit different but it dose a great job of keeping the temperature at a warm level for the wife and my little girl who both fill the cold. We als use a electric fan heater but most of the ti,e the little oil filled heater in s good anthem we let it tick over all nite and day time to if cold, as it has a thermostat built in and for no more than £20, we would not be with out it now,
If you have the space, then it's good to have both. A fan heater will take the chill off a heck of a lot quicker than an oil filled rad, but the latter is the only safe option for heating at night, if you want to leave it on to keep the chill at bay.
------------- The one good thing about being wrong is the joy it brings to others..
That was my thinking. I'll have the space as it is just myself and my son this time. We are fishing at sumners ponds. We always have the fan heater on in the evening but as it is so cold I thought about the oil rad too. We have a premium pitch right by the lake so I'll probably keep the oil rad going through the day too.
Thanks for the advice guys
