Hi, my husband has just bought a 75 ah ? Leisure battery for our folding camper. What's the best way to keep it charged when we are not camping. I've looked up about trickle chargers but neither of us has much idea what is best. We can possibly use electric where we store the camper or else remove it and store in a shed connected to electric to charge. Answers in easy to understand format, nothing too technical, would be appreciated as I don't have much idea on these things!

I keep my leisure battery in the garage, when not in the caravan.
Charge it once a month via the charger supplied with it.
Read this for good info

If you buy the smart charge type of battery charger from places such as Halfords you can put it in the garage and leave it on permantly, it will switch on and off as required by itself

We also keep our folding camper stored in the garage. I have my original 30W solar panel on the garage roof float charging the battery all year round via a decent charge controller. It keeps the battery fully charged even in the winter. When we go away we use the same charge controller with a 100W solar panel.
