in the Conway clubman there are 2 main lights in above bedrooms ,one of mine has stopped working, I have switched bulbs and it worked on other light so bulb ok ,there is a circuit board the light plugs into,any body know what its for? is it 12volt ,or does it step down 240v to 12v when Conway plugged into mains ?
anybody else had a failure on these boards? if so what was replaced ,any help welcomed

hi and thanks to everybody's help LOL
have now sorted the problem and replaced offending item ,hope I can be of the same help ,should anybody else get same problem
so no need to reply to the help needed add ,not that anyone did?
perhaps the mods can remove the topic now it sorted

Maybe no-one knew the answer you were after.

Is it a fluorescent light, a long thin tube?. Is it working on 12 volt or mains, does it plug into a 13Amp socket or does it run from a battery.

Most likely it's a small fluorescent maybe 8 or 13 watt. There are a number of these working on 12 volt.

The circuit board will convert the 12 volt dc into a voltage sufficient to strike the lamp and maintain it in operation.

Perhaps you could post the solution then it may help others.
