Hello all,
we've been unable to go away for the past seven years due to my wife developing Meniere's Disease then spending the past four years caring for my father. Not seeking sympathy, just stating a fact.
Well, we lost father last September and decided we'd get away this year in our excellent tent we only used twice! Then, yesterday, a friend put me on to a Jamet Louisiana which I bought for a very good price (if on line ads are anything to go by).
For 30 years we've been tent people, sleeping on the ground, now we're looking forward to kipping off the hard stuff.
I did receive a brief 'how to put it up' chat with advice to look on youtube for instructions as the previous owner had never got round to going camping in it - he bought from a relative. I've noticed helpful advice on this subject and hate to ask but does anyone have a manual I could have a copy off?
And, where do I get those brackets which extent to lock the kitchen legs in place as well as the tension clips that hold the legs at extension? As you can see, I don't even know the names yet.
Apart from that, just a clean up and replace the foam mattresses for added comfort then practice putting up and taking down and we're off in June. Can't wait.
In 1976 I saw two young ladies in bikinis struggle to put up a frame tent, within ten minutes they had lot's of male help - my then girlfriend didn't want me to assist - doubt I would receive as many offers now my beard and hair are white and my belt beginning to strain.
Oh well.
