Hi
We have just bought a 1998 Conway Cruiser in Fab condition. But have a Garage on a slight hill and it's heavier than we thought.   I have researched motor movers, but they seem to say they can not fit our model??
Any ideas

Hello Rommli, have you been in contact with Towsure?

The only experience I have is with an Adria with a motor mover reto-fitted. It connects to both tyres, manual wheel-nut tool connects/disconnects, wireless remote control, powered by the leisure battery. Even my wife found it easy to position the caravan.

We have one on our pathfinder, it's amazing! Makes life so much easier when manoeuvring into a pitch on grass, parking when at home.

Vaguely wondering whether to change our FC for a caravan, but would have to have a motor mover fitted, once you have had one it's hard to imagine life without it. No more bad backs and carry on camping!

I fitted one to my Pullman, having the same problem with a sloping driveway.
The difference is the mover has to be fitted behind the axle on the FC, a caravan mover is fitted to the front.
It's not a difficult job.
Probably the mover suppliers you contacted haven't tried (been asked to) to fit one to an FC.

We had a Rhyno motor mover fitted to our Pathfinder a few years back.

Once you have one, you'd never ever consider not having one.

As with others we had a motor mover fitted to our Pathfinder after we nearly killed ourselves trying to get it down the slope on our drive. It has saved many an hour and argument . Having a shared driveway means our Pathfinder has to be just a few inches away from the house wall and the motor mover makes it a doddle. We had a Powrtouch fitted as they had experience with Pennine folding campers. It also saves ages on site getting it in just the right place. My daughter thinks it is like a radio controlled​ car!

Hi, we just bought a Conway Crusader and have a similar issue that our hard-standing at the house is on a slight slope. I've seen motorised jockey wheels for sale in a few places that are a lot cheaper than traditional movers. Anyone have any experience with these?

From loads and loads of previous posts on these, don't waste your money.

The only real way to go is a mover, might be a largish outlay but well worth it.

I have fitted them on the Pennine pathfinder (they have an L shape frame so no problems there ,not sure of the shape of the Conway frame, I know my clubman has no L shape frame ,so I just used some angle iron(2 pieces ) to make it L shaped fitted the movers no problem, don't fall into the trap there hard to fit there not ,I,m 65 and have fitted to sons pathfinder and others ,plus now my clubman hardtop,don't let the caravan fitters baffle you with science ,even a novice (if you don't mind rolling around under the trailer should have them fitted (and working ) in 3 hours.no drilling on L shape frame ,on flat drop frame (like clubman need to drill 3 holes either side and mount/bolt angle iron to frame)longest bit is feeding the wiring and fitting isolation switch so everything looks neat and waterproof to battery box)don't mount isolation switch inside trailer(you then have to open trailer to access it, mount it in battery box)
