Can I ask how you got to the pump?
Ours has never given any problems then this weekend, no flush.
How can you even get in/behind/under to trace the wiring?
It's under the loo roll holder. The rest is in the cabinet which you get to from outside - very very awkward to reach etc. Ours still isn't working as not had time this week to try the negative from the bathroom light. Will update with results soon. The model toilet in our pathfinder is a C2.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Cheers all. The other thread's pictures are pretty close to the Pathfinder's system.
I've now spent a happy couple of hours finding out more than I ever wanted to know about the toilet.
My problem might have been poor contact as shown on the other thread but pulling all that out only led to me replacing the fuse and the pump still wouldn't run - but at least I was able to confirm 12V on the connector.
So I took the pump out in the hope there might be something obvious I could fix with it. Didn't seem to be anything but when I put it back, it worked!
So maybe it was pink gunked. Or contacts by the fuse or some combination of the two.
So it's all working again!
One thing I couldn't work out was how to replace the pump. I can't see where and how the power is connected - the wire goes behind the toilet bowl but where to and how it's connected is a mystery. Hopefully I'll never have to replace it...
Its fixed! Nothing too fancy I'm afraid. I am actually really peeved about the amount of time and fiddling around we spent!
We got it out this afternoon to try to take the negative from the light and create a makeshift fix. My dad asked me to test it one more time before we started as he had sprayed everything last time with penetrating oil. I rolled my eyes and tried it - IT WORKED!!!! Several times during putting it all back I tried and still it worked!! I am really pleased but as I said, its annoying that so much time and effort was put into something that turned out a very simple problem. Thanks everyone for their advice. I now feel quite qualified in these loos if anyone has similar issues in the future lol.
Feel a bit silly for going so overboard looking for the problem now 🙄 But it's all ended good. Thanks again for your help. This is such a great website 😃
