Has anyone upgraded their 3 pin 240v sockets to ones which have the built-in USB charging sockets?

Been looking at how to add usb sockets to our Conway Crusader, and this seems to easiest option.

Hello Steve.

Before you purchase one, remove the screws holding an existing one to check the depth.

Some sockets are for shallow depth locations, as may be found in caravans.

Beware of cheap Chinese models that may not produce enough current, or could catch fire.

I use Ipad compatible 2.1 Amp ones.

In my Fiesta I've got two 12v sockets on the drawers near the door. I plug USB car chargers into them.

The Conway Crusader doesn't have any 12v round car sockets - just the two blade parallel pin 12v sockets. I looked at an adapter for those, but figured it'd be easier to replace the 240v three pin sockets.

I always make sure I use decent BS standard ones, but good shout about the depth. I'll check that out next time it's up

Why not consider a USB 5 port multi charger. That's what we use and plug the 3 pin plug directly into one mains socket.
