Hello all.

Thank you for having me!, this is my first post but certainly wont be my last!

We are a family of 5 (me and the wifey, 5 and 7 year old kids and our crazy lab puppy)

We currently have an Oasis 8 with Canopy and Frontaier Porch - we LOVE IT! BUT, my sister has a Trailer Tent... our outing over the bank holiday saw our tent like a Sauna and an Ice cube where as the TT was much better at keeping a more consistent temperature; this paired with the ammount of space we loose with our tent pushes us down the route of buying a trailer tent.

We are looking to collect one of the following two tents this weekend:

Sunncamp 400SE - good condition, 15 years old, 80 miles away

OR

Conway Explorer - very good condition, comes with a few extras and is only 35 miles away.

Both can be had for around the same price of £500.

Both look identical in size and shape from the images bar colour.

We just dont know enough about either of them to make a decison.

Can anyone help ?

Hi

Conway in my opinion were always top quality but after 15 years it depends more on how well they have been looked after rather than brand; a 5 year old tent could be ruined by putting it away wet.

Conway have ceased trading which means you can have more trouble finding spares etc whereas suncamp still exist.

Make sure you see it before you buy.

I'd go see them both, as the above poster said, it's going to be a decision made on condition rather than brand. Go see the nearest first as its not so far to go back if you don;t buy the one further away. Good luck and I hope you get what you want.

Thank you both - does anyone know any specifics about the two? i dont know if one is better than the other etc.

We bought the Conway - its fantastic condition and came with all sorts of little extras
