We have owned a 2013 unbraked Raclet Solena since November 2015. Not sure if it was ever serviced before we bought it but we have not had it serviced since owning it. We have been to Cornwall, Devon, Yorkshire and other shorter trips in the last two years. My question is, obviously it needs a service but where would we have that done?
If it's unbraked there's not much to service only the wheels including the hubs and the hitch also a look to make sure it's not rusting too badly any where, it's really a diy job if you can if not more or less any car mechanic could do it also of course a check on the condition of the tyres and that's about it. Oops! nearly forgot there is the lights of course.
Check the condition of the tyres. Look for cracks in sidewall & tread. It’s considered a good idea to replace tyres after about 5yrs regardless of trad wear.
If you mean Braked and Unbraked The difference is that the ones with brakes which are a legal requirement if it weights more than 750kg and should work by automatically operating when the towing vehicle slows down, but Unbraked does rely on the towing vehicles brakes to slow the whole lot down as there are no brakes on it.
