I have recently bought a Cabanon Saturn trailer tent. Thing is the legs for the kitchen won’t come down - are they locked somehow? If so how do I get them down?

The 4 Kitchen legs on old Conways where held by Wheel nuts that you had to undo by hand, i would have thought Cabanons would be the same, does the kitchen unit look like this one ? ( photo from camperlands website )

Turned out all I had to do was turn the nuts a lot further than I thought - all is well now

Yeah Scotty boy I was just going to say that on the Saturn the thumbwheels screw into holes in the inner legs so that they don't drop down while travelling.
Then when they are down you can tighten them up when it is level.
Safety feature... Always push the legs back in and locate the holes in each one with the thumbwheel.

Hi Scotty

We had a Cabanon Saturn for many years and the best thing we ever did was fit WHEELS to the kitchen legs! These kitchens weigh a ton and looking back, it's clear that it did some serious irreparable damage to an already bad back carrying that kitchen into place. But fitting castors to the base of the legs transformed the operation into something manageable.

You can wheel over grass with no problem, probably just not over a mud bath.

Really hope you enjoy your time in the TT. It's a fabulous bit of kit and we miss the comfort and space now we bang our heads in bed in the campervan!
