Just come back from our first weekend in our Pennine Pathfinder.
Had an issue all weekend with very high gas pressure when first turning on an appliance - so strong it blows out the lighter and sounds like a hairdryer! Eventually it calms down to normal pressure. If you already have something going, it doesn’t happen.
Seems to me that something in the system is “ballooning” and storing gas, which causes a surge when it is released. Any ideas?
It’s got an oven, 3 hobs, hot water, fridge and outside gas point.
The previous owner, in his infinate wisdom, decided to use a 7kg instead of 2x 4.5kg. Only way the bottle would fit in the front compartment is on it's side. I knew no different, so used it in there on it's side - pumping liquid gas into the system!
I will replace the reg and make sure to use the bottle upright outside the compartment, until it runs out and we can exchange for a 4.5kg.
