Hi all, when booking a pitch online and there is no option for trailer tent or folding camper, do you tick tent or caravan? Also, if there is no option for grass or hardstanding and you were to tick caravan, would you get put on a hardstanding area? (New to this as you might have guessed - have been campers up till now). Thanks for your advice.
What unit do you have, and can you put it in your profile please.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Last week we were going to stay on the Fontygary Leisure Park and I mentioned that we were using a FC (I thought it might be cheaper!)
The young lady said hold on I need to ask, she came back and said "that's like a trailer tent so we don't accept them"
I did not bother to discuss it.
We went elsewhere but did visit the leisure park, apologies to those who might like it but we so glad we got turned away! Units crammed in so close and it was just barren.
This is not meant to be a criticism of that particular site but as a previous poster mentioned worth checking on the phone particularly if , online, FC's are not an option.
We normally just call the sites and go with as level pitch as we can get if they don't show or offer an option for folding campers most will know our type of units trailer tents and may have to place them in the tent field. We had this issue in Lincolnshire as they insisted we go on an unlevel tent field due to license requirements
In that case, i would now book a touring pitch for our Pathfinder
I agree with Kelper. Put it under caravan. You won’t necessarily be put on hardstanding as a caravan. When you arrive at a site you can tell them you are a F.C. and what type of pitch you prefer as a general rule. It would be worth phoning the site if you are concerned. Good luck.
