Hi All.
Thank you for looking at this post.
Me and the wife have just purchased a 1995 Conway Countryman. It was an absolute steal and the unit and canvas is in excellent condition and everything works as it should.
We decided to try it out for the first time this weekend. It held up perfectly to the wind and rain so that’s a relief.
Now the not so good part, when we bought it we knew there was an awning but we didn’t know what condition it was in.... it didn’t bother us too much as we knew we was getting a great deal just with the unit so any awning was a bonus...
We attempted to get it up but quickly realised it was pointless....the entire thing is covered in rips, holes and mould. We took it straight down and carried on without it.
My question is, we would like to have something that replicates an awning, I have looked on Pennine but they have none listed for this age and if they did I fear it would be very expensive.
Is there some sort of universal/drive away awning we could attach to it just to give us some extra space. Water tightness isn’t a great issue so it doesn’t need to zip on.... just looking for some recommendations.
Thanks in advance
Ben
