Pennine Pathfinder 2004 The basin cold tap just spins round and does not allow water to flow. Can I repair this? Thanks Allan

Sounds like the knob is not getting a grip on the splines. Try wrapping some TPFE tape round the splines then push the knob on and see it it works.

Do you mean the sink in the toilet? You will have to remove the sink from the back panel. They aren’t too difficult to put new taps on,but we’ve never repaired one.

Just pop the tap top of if it is the whale elegance type ,can be stiff use something wide bladed ,you will then see a splined plastic shaft the turns from the tap top to tap base ,these sometimes snap allowing tap to just turn around ,easily replaced with out having to strip sink down or remove taps
