The beds are much stronger than they look,though make sure that when the bed is out,the metal bed frame extensions rest on the trailer side. It is also a good idea to peg the legs to stop them shifting. We have plywood sqares with an indention for the bed leg foot,and peg these.Or a jam jar lid screwed to a plywood square works to keep the legs in place
The clips on the bed pods simply hook on to the edge of the bed board.
