hi can any one tell me the best stuff to use to re waterproof the canvas

it is an old camper and the canvas is faded is there a coloured paint that makes it like new and water proofs at the same time?

also has any one got a pennine aztec if so mine has a few frame bars bent im not sure where I could source these and what they look like if ur able to send me pics of the frame and hinges I would be grateful

main question is this - is it still waterproof? if yes then don't put anything on it, other than that all you can do is use fabsil but buy the large tin and use a paintbrush to apply, you also need to be off the grass as it kills it so if you can get onto a school yard when the kids next break up and they will allow you to do that as it needs to dry out fully once done and allow the fumes out

Go into the search engine and see how many posters advise not to waterproof canvas. They can't all be wrong. Once done it cant be reversed.

The first thing to do is wet the canvas with it fully set up, let it dry and repeat several times. Canvas is naturally waterproof by absorbing water and the fibres expanding. If it’s not been used for a long time it be fibres contract and cause water to get through. The wet/dry cycles allow the fibres to naturally reproof.
If the canvas still leaks after a few cycles then it may have to be chemically treated. That in itself can still cause leaks if the canvas is too dry as it seal the holes open . On once treated it will need doing regularly.
Google “ weathering canvas” for a better explanation.
I would walk away from any canvas that proudly boasting about being recently Fabsiled
