We had s bit of a disaster last trip out had a blowout which tore off the battery box door. I have a new one from Pennine, but there is no aluminium panel to fit in the door. Also do I rip out the existing sealant and put new in, if I do what sealant do I need?
the aluminium is supplied by the part that you cut out the camper to fit the battery box so that way it matches the camper, do you still have the old damaged door to recover the aluminium from?
Use proper mastic sealant, sikaflex or PU40 works well.
I wish we had the old door. It bounced down the road and into the undergrowth. Pennine have quoted £35 for the aluminium panel and £50 for a new lock so nearly £200 all in including the battery box!
Might be worth dropping this guy an email to see if he can offer any help / advice.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
